Region Training Conference (10/13)

Hi Division 41 South Lions!

Our fall Region Training Conference (RTC) is coming up soon!  Come out for a day of fun workshops, learning more about Key Club, meeting and greeting Key Clubbers from all over Orange County, showing your Lion Spirit ... the real question is: What reason is there not to go?!  From workshops of Key Club 101 to Public Speaking to our preferred charities to Icebreakers, you'll be sure to take back lots of information from the four speed workshops (as opposed to the two, one-hour long workshops) that you'll attend -- trust me, you'll want to come to this!

The CNH District Newsletter | September 2012 Issue

Hi Lions!

In addition to the Division Newsletter, our California-Nevada-Hawaii (CA-NEV-HA, CNH) District also has a newsletter!  Not only do we make an impact at our schools and local communities, but with the efforts of many, we're impacting on a much larger scale -- this is the magic of how Key Club works.  Take a break from from all of the excitement of the first week of school, and catch up with what your fellow CA-NEV-HA Key Clubbers have been up to -- the September 2012 Issue of the CNH District Newsletter has been posted and is now available on the Cyberkey!

Don't forget:  Your ORF Submission is due in just a couple of days -- Saturday 1 September at 6PM!  I understand this time is may be the critical as it is the Summer Homework Rush Time, however the form is real quick and easy to fill out ~ take a break for a couple of minutes ... there are some fun questions that need answering!  At least two responses are needed per club, but it is highly smiled upon to have as many responses as possible -- but from the stats as of 1:40PM on Wednesday 29 August, only three schools hit that requirement.

TASK COORDINATORS APPLICATION

CHALLENGE: Division 41 South are looking for 7 Lions to step up and be task coordinators! These individuals will be placed either on a Key Club or Kiwanis sponsored group to receive updates of their assigned topic to become more aware--experts-- on these topics and to share the information within the division. These individuals will be responsible for keeping current with their topic as well as becoming teachers of their knowledge -- for example, at DCMs they will be asked to share some tidbits learned that month as well as help to promote division events concerning their topic. These task coordinators are vital to our division as they will become experts at their field and will contribute greatly to educating all fellow Lions. It is completely fine if you aren't already an expert, the point of becoming a task coordinator of a certain topic is to learn more about that topic and to spread that knowledge to the division -- Please don't be deterred if you know none of the topics, you'll learn about them quickly! [CAR WASH] The Results!!

Hi Division 41 South Lions,

 

Our Division Car Wash yesterday was a great success!  We had our laughs, our fair share of sunburns; only getting slightly damp; having our fingers decorated by soap bubbles; there's nothing like a car wash to finish off summer right!

 

But of course, this event couldn't have been pulled off without the dedication of our many Lions -- from the Key Club to the Kiwanis and Family. 

Thank you to Mr. Garrity and Ms. Leiva, faculty advisors from Capistrano Valley and Tesoro (respectively) for coming out to help chaperone!

In addition to the support of our faculty advisors, many thanks for our biggest support system -- our family!  Thank you Michelle for having your mom stay; I extend my thanks to my uncle and mom who also came out to help chaperone.  But the biggest thanks of all goes to Mr. Pong, who not only helped to fix our blunders but stayed the whole day!

 

Many thanks also to those who brought items for the car wash (from both this year and last)! 

 

Oh, and not to forget, we raised quite a bit more for Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP).  The final total came out to: $341.12!!

Division 41 South "FREE" Car Wash for PTP

Hello Lions!

Finish out summer strong by participating in our Division 41 South "FREE" Car Wash for PTP! 

This year, instead of the two car washes, we'll be combining our efforts for one massive car wash at El Toro High School this Saturday 25 August.

Come get your car cleaned from 9AM - 5PM; or help and volunteer your time by signing-up with a time slot: [8:30-11:30], [11:30-2:30], [2:30-5:30]!

But even if you can't be at our car wash physically, there are multiple ways you can still help the cause!  From lending supplies to donating for the cause, any support is welcomed!!

The best kind of support is the support of advertising our event!  We're looking forward to washing MANY cars this weekend!
