[CAR WASH] The Results!!

Hi Division 41 South Lions,

 

Our Division Car Wash yesterday was a great success!  We had our laughs, our fair share of sunburns; only getting slightly damp; having our fingers decorated by soap bubbles; there's nothing like a car wash to finish off summer right!

 

But of course, this event couldn't have been pulled off without the dedication of our many Lions -- from the Key Club to the Kiwanis and Family. 

Thank you to Mr. Garrity and Ms. Leiva, faculty advisors from Capistrano Valley and Tesoro (respectively) for coming out to help chaperone!

In addition to the support of our faculty advisors, many thanks for our biggest support system -- our family!  Thank you Michelle for having your mom stay; I extend my thanks to my uncle and mom who also came out to help chaperone.  But the biggest thanks of all goes to Mr. Pong, who not only helped to fix our blunders but stayed the whole day!

 

Many thanks also to those who brought items for the car wash (from both this year and last)! 

 

Oh, and not to forget, we raised quite a bit more for Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP).  The final total came out to: $341.12!!

Division 41 South "FREE" Car Wash for PTP

Hello Lions!

Finish out summer strong by participating in our Division 41 South "FREE" Car Wash for PTP! 

This year, instead of the two car washes, we'll be combining our efforts for one massive car wash at El Toro High School this Saturday 25 August.

Come get your car cleaned from 9AM - 5PM; or help and volunteer your time by signing-up with a time slot: [8:30-11:30], [11:30-2:30], [2:30-5:30]!

But even if you can't be at our car wash physically, there are multiple ways you can still help the cause!  From lending supplies to donating for the cause, any support is welcomed!!

The best kind of support is the support of advertising our event!  We're looking forward to washing MANY cars this weekend!

Below is the link for the Officer Report Form (ORF); just a reminder, the forms are due Saturday 1 September 2012 at 6PM!  (It is an entirely online form and doesn't take long to complete, no worries!)

If you are an officer (elected or appointed) please take the time to fill it out!  The ORF is a reflection of the past month (well, the past couple months in this case...) and are due the first of each month.  They help me figure out what I need to do/improve to better help and assist your club, so please be honest and timely with your submission!

Beach Boomba Reminder!!

The Big Day is Tomorrow Lions!!

Beach Boomba is tomorrow (Sat. 18 August) and we'll be at Huntington Beach (Pacific Coast Highway & Brookhurst).  Look for us at Tower 2!

 

The event officially starts at 10AM but registration (signing in) begins at 9AM. Try and come earlier to avoid parking issues.  Registration/signing in ENDS AT 6PM.  Please come before 6PM if you plan to join us for the finale bonfire. 

The fee is $5 and will cover meals throughout the day (pizza, tacos, s'mores, etc.)

 

What to wear: Key Club attire/ T-shirt

Suggested things to pack:
Sun block (w/ at least 45 SPF)
Small beach chairs
Sunglasses
Towels
Canopies for yourself/friends/division
Extra change of clothes
Swimming suits
Jackets/Sweaters (when it gets chilly at night)
Some extra snacks for yourself and your club between meals because it's going to be a long day!
